Immerse yourself in the complex world of sports-related muscle injuries with Muscle Injuries 360° - an advanced, clinically oriented educational experience designed to strengthen your ability to assess, diagnose, manage, rehabilitate, and support athletes throughout their return to performance. Offered by Academia Clínicas Espregueira, the course provides a multidisciplinary perspective on muscle injuries, bringing together contemporary scientific evidence, clinical expertise, diagnostic imaging, rehabilitation principles, and performance data.

Muscle injuries are among the most frequent and clinically challenging problems in sport. Effective management goes far beyond identifying the affected muscle or determining the severity of an injury. Clinical presentation, tissue involvement, injury mechanisms, imaging findings, biological healing, functional capacity, and sport-specific demands all need to be considered within the context of the individual athlete.

For practitioners, this means combining information from multiple disciplines rather than relying on a single test, classification, or protocol. From clinical examination and MRI or ultrasound findings to strength testing, biomechanics, rehabilitation progression, psychological readiness, nutrition, and performance monitoring, each element can contribute to better-informed decisions regarding prognosis, injury management, and return to sport.

Through a clinically focused and evidence-informed learning approach, participants will explore muscle injuries across the entire continuum - from epidemiology, risk factors, injury mechanisms, and prevention to diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and return to performance. Particular attention is given to injuries involving the hamstrings, adductors, quadriceps and rectus femoris, calf and triceps surae, as well as the pelvitrochanteric region and upper limb.

Join a multidisciplinary international community of sports medicine and performance professionals and learn from experts with extensive experience in clinical practice, research, diagnostic imaging, rehabilitation, sports science, and high-performance sport. Across 52 hours of training, the course combines scientific foundations with applied clinical reasoning and case-based learning, supporting individualized and evidence-informed decision-making throughout the muscle-injury continuum.
