COVID-19 pandemic has changed our lives in many ways. Even though arthroplasty surgery is going back to a “new normal” several factors must be considered.
In cooperation with PALACADEMY®, the learning and knowledge platform for bone and joint surgery by HERAEUS, we present a new episode of the Multi-Hub Live Event Series on “Periprosthetic Joint Infections in Pandemic Times. Focus on Risk Patients and Prevention”. We have put together an interdisciplinary team of four of the most experienced experts in the field of prevention and treatment of Periprosthetic Joint Infection (PJI) to discuss the best strategies for the current situation. Multidisciplinary, patient oriented concepts and PJI prevention matter more than ever. Evidence and experiences especially with dual antibiotic-loaded bone cement will be focus of the discussion.
