Event details

In cooperation with Mathys, we are excited to present a CME accredited TV event on Kinematics and Biomechanics of Shoulder Arthroplasty under the scientific direction of Professor Philipp Kasten, MD and Professor Andreas Niemeier, MD. Enjoy precise live talks, surgical videos and interactive discussions by our international shoulder experts live from our studio in Munich.

Get insights into clinically relevant problems and challenges in total shoulder arthroplasty with focus on the biomechanics and kinematics and enjoy respective case discussions! As always, the event will be highly interactive – you will have the possibility to ask your questions to the experts and to be involved in the discussion via live voting.

The online training has been submitted for accreditation to the State Medical Association Baden-Wuerttemberg. The event is specifically designed for orthopedic surgeons specialized in shoulder surgery. The livestream and post-live version are free of charge. The CME certification (knowledge quiz) will be available for a ticket price of 49 EUR. The certification period starts on 29 June 2021. From that date onwards, you will be able to complete the CME quiz within 12 months and earn 4 CME credits.

I will learn to
  • Understand how new implant designs might influence clinical outcome and practice
  • Classify new technical developments in anatomic and reverse total shoulder arthroplasty
  • Implement the effect of humeral inclination, lateralization and retroversion in reverse total shoulder arthroplasty
  • Understand the influence of stem length on biomechanics and long term survival in reverse total shoulder arthroplasty
  • Categorize biomechanical aspects about glenoid in anatomic total shoulder arthroplasty
  • Consider new aspects on glenoid positioning in reverse total shoulder arthroplasty
